Early Detection Program: Modern Access to Your Breast Health

Women's Breast Health Center at BardDiagnostics
The Women's Breast Health Center at BardDiagnostics is dedicated to delivering comprehensive breast screening and early detection through advanced, state-of-the-art diagnostic technologies. Under the leadership of Dr. Robert L. Bard, our center combines precision imaging with a personalized, patient-centered approach to evaluate breast health at every stage of life.
Our screening protocols incorporate advanced mammography, high-resolution diagnostic ultrasound with Doppler imaging, elastography, and thermal imaging when clinically appropriate, providing a more complete assessment than conventional screening alone. By integrating multiple non-invasive technologies, we strive to identify abnormalities earlier, clarify uncertain findings, and support more informed clinical decision-making.
Beyond imaging, the Center emphasizes prevention, risk assessment, active surveillance, and collaborative care through a multidisciplinary network of specialists. Whether you are seeking routine screening, a second opinion, evaluation of symptoms, or follow-up after treatment, our goal is to provide women with the most comprehensive breast health evaluation possible—empowering them with knowledge, confidence, and access to the latest advances in diagnostic medicine.
Comprehensive Breast Health Services
The Women's Breast Health Center at BardDiagnostics provides a comprehensive, technology-driven approach to breast health by combining advanced screening, precision diagnostics, and personalized surveillance protocols. Every evaluation is designed to support earlier detection, improve diagnostic confidence, and provide women with a clearer understanding of their breast health.
Our center features state-of-the-art digital mammography, the gold standard for breast cancer screening, capable of identifying suspicious findings before symptoms develop. When additional evaluation is needed, patients benefit from advanced diagnostic ultrasound with Doppler imaging and elastography, allowing physicians to assess blood flow, tissue characteristics, and lesion stiffness—valuable information that helps distinguish benign from suspicious abnormalities while reducing unnecessary procedures.
Breast thermal imaging (thermography) is a safe, non-invasive, radiation-free technology that evaluates patterns of heat and blood flow at the skin's surface. Because abnormal tissue activity often produces increased metabolic demand and vascular changes, thermal imaging may identify physiologic abnormalities that warrant further clinical evaluation. Thermal imaging serves as a complementary tool within a comprehensive breast health program. While it is not a replacement for mammography or diagnostic ultrasound, it can provide additional physiologic information that may assist in risk assessment, monitoring inflammatory changes, and establishing an individualized baseline for ongoing surveillance. When integrated with mammography, advanced ultrasound, elastography, and clinical examination, thermal imaging contributes to a more complete understanding of breast health and supports a personalized approach to early detection, prevention, and long-term monitoring.
Recognizing that overall health influences breast wellness, the Center also offers heavy metal screening using advanced bioassessment technologies to evaluate exposure to environmental metals that may contribute to chronic inflammation and metabolic dysfunction. These findings can help guide individualized wellness and preventive care strategies.
For women at elevated risk or those with previous breast disease, the Center emphasizes Active Surveillance—a personalized monitoring program utilizing scheduled imaging, clinical follow-up, and ongoing risk assessment. This proactive approach enables physicians to detect subtle changes over time while minimizing unnecessary intervention and ensuring that every patient receives timely, informed, and individualized breast healthcare.
